Armed Robbery / Attmept Murder / Flee & Elude
On April 16th, 2007 at approximately 5:30 p.m., the Auburn Hills Police Department responded to the Sports Authority at the Great Lakes Crossing mall for a reported stabbing. He suspect had attempted to steal merchandise from the store and was confronted in the parking lot by store loss prevention officer. A fight ensued and the loss prevention officer was stabbed. The injuries were non life threatening. Auburn Hills Police assisted by Oakland County Sheriff’s Office deputies pursued the suspect from the mall. Oakland County Sheriff’s Office deputies utilizing stop sticks were able to apprehend the suspect at M-59 near Crooks Road. The suspect was taken into custody and no other people were injured.
