Armed Robbery Suspect Arraigned

James Gregory Andrick, 44 years old of Royal Oak Michigan has been charged with Assault with Intent to do Great Bodily Harm, Armed Robbery, Felonious Assault, Flee & Elude Third Degree and Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident. Andrick was arraigned today at the 52/3 District Court in Rochester Hills before Magistrate Marie Soma who set a bond of $350,000.00 no 10%.
On April 16th, 2007 at approximately 5:30 p.m., the Auburn Hills Police Department responded to the Sports Authority at the Great Lakes Crossing mall for a reported stabbing. Andrick attempted to steal merchandise from the store and was confronted in the parking lot by store loss prevention officer. A fight ensued and the loss prevention officer was stabbed. Auburn Hills Police assisted by Oakland County Sheriff’s deputies pursued Andrick from the mall. Oakland County Sheriff’s deputies, utilizing stop sticks, were able to apprehend Andrick at M-59 near Crooks Road.
The loss prevention officer sustained non-life threatening injuries and was treated at a local hospital.
