Stabbing Suspect Arrested
On September 17, 2007 at approximately 11:27 a.m. officers from the Auburn Hills Police Department were dispatched to Subway, 3910 Baldwin Road for a report of a stabbing. Officers arrived on scene and learned that the suspect, a 19 year old Pontiac resident, had called the store and inquired about a coat that belongs to her sister who was terminated on Friday September 14. The store manager told the suspect that the coat was not at the store. A short time later the suspect came to the store and began assaulting the store manager with a belt. A second employee attempted to break up the fight and was attacked by the suspect. During the fight between the suspect and the second employee, the suspect grabbed a knife from the counter and stabbed the employee in the left forearm.
The suspect fled the store and into a vehicle that was waiting in the parking lot. Witnesses were able to obtain the vehicle description and license plate. Using the information from witnesses, Officers from the Auburn Hills Police Department along with assistance from the Oakland County Sherriff’s Department located the suspect vehicle and suspect. The suspect has been arrested.
The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The case remains under investigation. Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Auburn Hills Police Department at (248) 370-9444.
