Suspect Charged in False Bomb Threat
Ivan Perry, 21 years old of Southfield has been charged with Making False Report or Threat of Bomb/Harmful Device. The crime of Making False Report or Threat of Bomb/Harmful Device is a felony punishable by 4 years in prison and/or a fine of $2,000.00. Perry was arraigned today at the 52/3 District Court in Rochester Hills. Magistrate Marie Soma set a $5,000 personal bond for Perry. A pre-exam conference date has been set for October 8, 2007 at 8:30 a.m. in front of Judge Asadoorian.
On Saturday, September 29, 2007 at 7:30 AM, Auburn Hills Police responded to Baker College, 1500 University Dr. after receiving information of a bomb threat. The Auburn Hills Police conducted a sweep of the building with assistance from the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office K-9 team. It was determined through the investigation that the building was safe and no device was located.
