Armed Robbery at Mobil

On February 21, 2007 the Auburn Hills Police Department arrested Bryant Darnell Long II, 20 years old of Pontiac Michigan for Unarmed Robbery.  Bryant Long was arraigned today at the 52/3 District Court.  Magistrate Balian set a bond of $10,000 cash no 10%.  Unarmed Robbery is a felony, punishable by up to 15 years in prison.

 

On February 20, 2007, at approximately 11:30 p.m., the Auburn Hills Police Department responded to the Staybridge Suites located at 2050 Featherstone Rd. on a report of a strong arm robbery.  The victim, a female from California and guest of the hotel, was walking towards the front door of the hotel.  Bryant Long approached her in the parking lot and physically took the victim’s purse from her.  The victim fell to the ground and sustained minor injuries.  The victim and witnesses were able to observe Mr. Long running from the scene and provided a direction of travel to responding officers.

 

Responding officers were able to track Mr. Long with the assistance of a Pontiac Police Department K-9 unit.  Mr. Long was located at a nearby business parking lot and was taken into custody and lodged at the Oakland County Jail.
