On March 21, 2007 at 7:12 am, the Auburn Hills Police and Fire Departments responded to Avondale High School, 2800 Waukegan Rd. for a pedestrian injury accident.  Preliminary investigation shows that a 15 year old Auburn Hills resident and Avondale High school student was crossing the drive in the parking lot of Avondale High school when she was struck by a school bus.  The bus driver, a 50 year old resident of Rochester Hills has been driver for Avondale School District for 2 years and is cooperating with the investigation.

The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.  The Auburn Hills Police Department and Avondale School Administration are working together to complete the investigation.
